When I was originally asked to photograph Luca's grad portraits at the Minneapolis Rowing Club located at the foot of the city's Lake Street Bridge on the mighty Mississippi River, I just assumed that he came from a family of rowers. Turns out his newfound love for rowing was all thanks to a very 'positive' covid story, and Luca's search for a new physical activity after lockdown which has since morphed into one of his life passions.
With the Minneapolis Rowing Club Boathouse and area to ourselves, I felt like we were photographing in a time-capsule, not only thanks to our photo session starting off with an old Mississippi steamboat chugging gracefully down the river, but Luca's smiles gracing my camera and glowing along the water's edge from every angle. We ended off at the high octane photographic location surrounding the Stone Arch Bridge area. LOVED this photo session from beginning to end. Keep rowing to the rhythm of life Luca.
