Pakistani-themed wedding celebration at the PNA Hall in Minneapolis, Minnesota was a feast for all senses.
An explosion of color amplified by henna, heavily embroidered gold jewelry, vibrant turbans and sherwins (close relatives all dressed in matching turquoise outfits) flower garlands, rose petals, candles...all that visual interest coupled with hi-octane Bollywood jig and jives on the dance floor and you get the idea.
Just when you think it can't get any better, you are hit with the exotic aromas typified by a delicious spice village in the far east...samosas, biryani, basmati and chana masala. Kudos to Kareem and Marta for reminding us that 'variety is the true spice of life' and LOVE is all around.
Shoe snatcher – As most couples didn’t know each other prior to the wedding, the sisters and friends will arrange games to break the ice. One example is stealing the Groom’s shoes and demanding sum of money for their return. The bantering and fun allows the couple to bond quicker.
"'Variety is the true spice of life' and LOVE is all around."
