Astrophotography is the name given to the process of taking photos of anything not on the earth, but out in space. It may seem logical but the first thing to remember is that the earth rotates on its axis once per day. Obvious? Sure, but what it means for the astrophotographer is that you are never trying to capture a "still" object and hence my attached 'astrophotography kit' for beginners. Be sure to take note of the all important compass points and the resultant look and feel they have on all photos when shooting star trails.
